Full granulation function and high production efficiency
The NPK fertilizer granulator is a granulation device specifically designed for the production of NPK compound fertilizers and is widely used in modern agricultural production. Granulated fertilizers are not only easier to store and transport but also significantly improve fertilization efficiency and nutrient utilization, playing a crucial role in increasing crop yields and agricultural productivity. Whether for small- and medium-sized fertilizer processing plants or large-scale fertilizer manufacturers, the NPK fertilizer granulator is an ideal choice.
Tianci Heavy Industry offers three types of NPK fertilizer granulation equipment: double roller granulators, rotary drum granulators, and disc granulators. You can flexibly choose based on your plant scale and production needs, or simply provide us with your production capacity and facility size, and we will provide you with a free, customized solution.
The double roller granulator is a dry-process granulation device that applies high pressure via two counter-rotating rolls to directly compress dry powdered NPK raw materials into sheet-like material, which is then crushed and screened to produce flat-spherical granules. The entire process requires no water addition or drying and falls under the category of ambient-temperature dry granulation. This equipment does not require a separate drying or cooling system, and features a small footprint, low energy consumption, and low production costs. It operates with low noise and minimal vibration, and the rollers are made of wear-resistant materials, ensuring a long service life. Although an appropriate amount of binder must be added during production, this does not affect the nutrient concentration or formulation stability of the fertilizer.
The finished granules have a compact structure and are resistant to breakage; they do not cake or absorb moisture during storage, and the nutrient ratio remains undiluted. This process is particularly suitable for the production of high-concentration NPK and dry powder compound fertilizers, as well as for small- and medium-sized dry powder NPK production lines, high-concentration single-component compound fertilizers, humic acid, mineral-derived potassium humate, and trace element compound base fertilizers.
The rotary drum granulator, also known as a rotating drum granulator, is a wet granulation device used in large-scale compound fertilizer production lines. It is suitable for the continuous, large-scale production of powdered NPK raw materials and inorganic compound fertilizers. Its operating principle involves wet rolling agglomeration: after uniformly mixed powdered material enters the drum, it continuously rolls and collides under the combined effects of gravity, centrifugal force, and friction. Simultaneously, water, steam, or a binder is injected, causing the fine powder to agglomerate layer by layer and grow in size, ultimately forming uniform spherical granules. These granules are automatically discharged as the drum tilts and proceed to subsequent drying and cooling processes.
This equipment features a high degree of automation and high single-unit production capacity, ranging from 1 to 10 metric tons per hour. It operates stably, is easy to operate, and can achieve 24-hour continuous production. The drum interior is lined with corrosion-resistant rubber or stainless steel, which prevents sticking and facilitates cleaning. It accommodates a wide range of raw materials and can stably produce high-, medium-, and low-concentration NPK products. The granulation efficiency exceeds 90%, with uniform granules that are resistant to breakage, feature balanced nutrient distribution, and exhibit stable controlled-release performance. It is suitable for large-scale compound fertilizer plants with an annual production capacity of 50,000 metric tons or more and can be used for various formulations with high nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content (such as 25-10-5 and 15-15-15), as well as for the production of functional compound fertilizers containing humic acid and amino acids.
The disc granulator, also known as a disc-type granulator, is a commonly used wet granulation device in small and medium-sized fertilizer production lines. It is suitable for the batch or small-scale continuous production of powdered NPK compound fertilizers and organic fertilizers. Its operating principle involves an inclined, rotating disc that causes the material to move in a spiral along the disc’s surface under the combined effects of centrifugal force, gravity, and friction, gradually forming nuclei. Under the action of sprayed water mist or a binder, fine powders are continuously adsorbed, growing layer by layer to form granules; once the target particle size is reached, the granules automatically overflow from the edge of the disc.
This equipment features a simple structure, a small footprint, and low investment costs, making it ideal for small and medium-sized factories with limited capital. Additionally, the disc angle, rotation speed, and water spray volume are all flexibly adjustable, allowing for precise control over particle size and pellet quality. It is easy to start and stop, making it suitable for production involving multiple formulations, small batches, and frequent material changes. The finished granules feature high sphericity, an attractive appearance, uniform particle size (adjustable from 2–10 mm), low dust content, and resistance to caking, making them easy to package and store. The equipment can produce either fast-acting or controlled-release fertilizers as needed and is widely used in small- and medium-sized NPK fertilizer processing plants with an annual output of 10,000–30,000 metric tons, as well as for specialized fertilizers for fruits and vegetables and seedling fertilizers.
